Dr. Paul Creason

Paul Creason is currently the Dean of the School of Health, Kinesiology, Science and Math. He currently oversees the largest school on campus. This school includes all levels of nursing, radiology and the pre-med track at LBCC. Paul is very dedicated to the mission and purpose of higher education, particularly at community colleges. Dr. Creason attended community college and has an Associate’s degree in General Education from Cypress College, and a Bachelor’s and a Master’s from California State University, Fullerton. In 2015, Paul finished his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from California State University, Long Beach.

Recently Dr. Creason became the Interim Associate Vice President at Long Beach City College’s Pacific Coast Campus where he is the top administrator in charge of the entire campus. For the past nine years as the Dean, Paul has helped improve the School of Health, Kinesiology, Science and Math through solid leadership and an outstanding rapport with the faculty. He is an innovative leader who provides an excellent working atmosphere for staff and faculty. Paul is an innovative administrator who is always looking out for the best interests of the students. Last year, Paul was honored as the Outstanding Colleague at Long Beach City College. He was nominated by both faculty and staff in his area and it is testament to his leadership at Long Beach City College.

Paul has three adult children and is an outstanding father. He has a son who graduated from UCLA and daughter who graduated from San Francisco State. He is most excited that his youngest daughter currently attends Long Beach City College. He enjoys playing golf, softball and fishing and is a sports fanatic (Go Dodgers, Lakers and Chargers!). His hobbies include music, cinema and restoring muscle cars. He currently owns a 1969 Plymouth GTX with a 440 cubic inch engine.
