Marilyn Bittle 

 Ambassador

Marilyn Bittle taught as an elementary teacher for 25 years in the Bellflower Unified School District. She was also a flight attendant for United Airlines. She has been Executive Director of the Teachers Association of Long Beach as well as Vice President and President of the California Teachers Association (CTA). She was the founder of the Republican Caucus of Teacher Leaders for the CTA.


Marilyn has also been very active in the community and her church. She is an active member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She has served as an officer in the Naples Garden Club and the Seal Beach Women’s Club. She was the former President of the Downtown Lions Club. Marilyn has won the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the School of Education at CSULB as well as the Women of Distinction Award for the Long Beach Soroptimist Club.Marilyn is a graduate of Compton High School, Compton Community College and earned a BA degree from California State at Long Beach. She did graduate work at CSULB and UC Irvine.
She loves to read, knit and take care of her granddaughter.
