St. Mary Medical Center's Centennial - 2023
There is so much to be grateful for at our hospital as we celebrate our centennial in the coming months. Our hope is that St. Mary’s healing ministry will continue to thrive for another 100 years as it meets the growing health care needs of our community.

The St. Mary Medical Center Birthday Card
When you make your gift, your name will appear on the public St. Mary Centennial Birthday Card. This card will be widely and creatively shared across the greater Long Beach community and beyond through:
- Print ad in local media (Grunion/Gazette; Post-Telegram; Alamitos Bay Neighbors; Bixby Neighbors; Living in the Heights) beginning in September
- A banner on the St. Mary Medical Center campus
Every Gift is Recognized
Your birthday gift will be received with gratitude and honored with recognition.
- All gifts of $100 or more will have your name etched on a brick paver.
- The engraved bricks will vary in size depending on the gift amount
- The pavers will be incorporated into a new Centennial Plaza built on the St. Mary Promenade (just west of the main hospital buildings) in 2024
- All donors (regardless of the amount) will be honored on a new electronic display in St. Mary's main lobby
- Recognition on the St. Mary Foundation website
Unless otherwise specified, all gifts will be received as "unrestricted income"; this provides St. Mary the flexibility to use your gift where it is needed most.
